Kaleidotrope is a literary print and ezine, and the first magazine to buy one of Sophie's pictures. The picture is derived from the cover of a 1930's "True Detective" magazine.
I have been doing art as long as I can remember. My parents say I was drawing almost before I could walk. As a homeschooler, I was a finalist for a one-time Lincoln Public Schools art fellowship program for children. I sold my first picture when I was a sophomore in high school, had my first magazine sale as a junior, and my first art gallery sale last summer.
I love the arts – literature, music, movies – but especially the visual arts. I expect I will be doing art for as long as I live. I want to go to a college that treasures the arts.
